a year agoI had the Pepper Pork for lunch and it was excellent. Lots of flavors and just the right amount of heat. Full of fresh veggies too

a year agoCallaloo is a fun little eatery serving vibrant food with outstanding service. We went Saturday morning (before a hike) and the gentleman working (please forgive me for not remembering his name: I asked, but promptly and sadly forgot) was pleasant and professional, volunteering to answer all of my questions. The food was/is magnificent! We wanted spicy and flavorful, and he delivered. Highly recommend.

a year agoFood- 5/5 Service- 5/5 Ambiance- 5/5 Drinks- NA Value- 3/5 Stopped by the Lancaster Central Market to see what it was like and maybe grab something for lunch. Chose Callaloo on a whim and was blown away by the food. Wasn’t really sure what I was going to get with Caribbean food, but the guy behind the counter said it was delicious so I gave it a shot. You start out choosing a rice. I got the Callaloo rice which is made with spinach and was full of flavor. You could also just go with a white jasmine rice. Then chose curried shrimp as my protein, but all of the protein options looked delicious. Then I asked what he recommended as add ons and got the pickled radishes and cucumbers. And then he recommended and poured on a creamy sauce with a little bite. It was perfect. The whole bowl was not cheap, but the flavors were fantastic and it was substantially sized. I probably would have been ok splitting the meal. I will definitely come back and try out other options next time.
