See All ReviewsWe just went back to Briteside after they reopened last year. We had gone numerous times back when they first opened. You came in sat down and had a server; the food was good, sometimes took to long but was ok. Now you order when you come in, the service was good and the food came out quickly but everything is frozen and fried. My wife got the fish and chip and said it was the worst fish and fries she has ever tasted. My chicken nachos were equally as bad; stale chips, water like queso and chicken that had no seasoning on it at all. Probably frozen. Too bad. The Gold family needs to re-asses this restaurant. I have eaten at Gold Burger many times and it is great. This one is not.
This place is more about the vibe than the food. The menu is pretty small, around 20 items and most of them are very basic. The food itself is decent but nothing particularly memorable, and it can take a while for it to come out. That said, the atmosphere is where this place shines. The outdoor area is really fun with games like cornhole and ping pong, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. I’d recommend coming here more for drinks and the experience, maybe eat beforehand if you’re looking for a great meal.
We were very disappointed. The experience was much better when it first opened. Busy Saturday, only 2 bartenders that clearly could not keep up. Condiments were empty, had to hunt down utensils. My fish and chips left something to be desired. The fish was rubbery and difficult to chew. The only saving grace was the chicken fried steak that my husband enjoyed though it was difficult to cut with a flimsy plastic knife.
