I was honestly impressed. I’m not African or African American, but I thought the food tasted really good and the portions were amazing. I paid about $27 for what they call a buffet, but just a heads-up—it’s not a traditional buffet where you serve yourself. Instead, they serve you and really load up your plate. I got carryout, so I’m not sure if you’re allowed to go back for more, which is something you might want to ask ahead of time. Just know you can’t walk up and grab food yourself—it’s all served to you, so it’s a bit different from what most people expect when they hear “buffet.” The location is kind of tucked away on a side street, but parking wasn’t too bad. Whether you're Ghanaian, African, or simply a lover of delicious food, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a true taste of Ghana right here in Beltville Maryland, U.S. One of the highlights is their mini buffet section, where you can mix and match your favorites - from Jollof rice, Waakye, and plain rice to a variety of tasty sides. The best part? You're free to create any combination you like, and the portions are generous. No restrictions, just good food 😋. I can’t write this review without giving a special shoutout to my favorite Ghanaian dish: Kelewele. Cape Coast Cuisine’s version is 99.9999% as delicious as what you'd find in Ghana — spicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. 😋 And of course, a warm thank you to Auntie Monitor, whose friendliness and hospitality perfectly reflect the welcoming spirit of the Ghanaian people. I’ll be coming back again, and again, and again.
