I found this place on Tik Tok. It’s only 15 minutes from my house. I usually drive down to Don Pedro in Chicago. This place when you walk in has a sign on door CASH ONLY!! So we went next door and took out $100 cash. Went back in stood in the line with about 8 others. It was my turn and I ordered the $40 pack. 2 lbs of carnitas, 2 packs of tortillas and a container of green salsa(delicious). I also ordered the Chicharon w guacamole in the cup $14.99. In all the pictures they filled the cup at least half mine was 1/4 of guac and two thin pieces of Chicharon. I also ordered 4 steak tacos. Each taco was $3.49 plus .75 for cheese. I got a large horchata it was delicious. My only complaint was the super thin cup it came in. It was leaking, I didn’t notice until I pulled away. The two ladies were nice one only spoke Spanish and the other translated. I wanted a receipt so I can see how much everything was seperatly. The one lady who spoke Spanish was frustrated so other one stepped in to show her how to print it. We got home and I cut up the carnitas I asked for a little bit of skin to mix and it was good. SUPER GREASY. It needs to be drained better. The tacos were good as well meat had good flavor. I ordered a chille rilleno and they didn’t have any. Very disappointed. I will come back. They are a little pricey but in all we spend about $95. If they got a bigger space it would be better. Service was ok, work on being nice and smile with customers. Makes them feel welcome especially if they don’t speak Spanish well. I love Mexican food I recommend this place . I will be retiring to try the Al Pastor and Chille Rilleno.
Travelled over and hour to visit this Location with my family , the carnitas are absolutely delicious But the customer service is horrible From the cashiers and servers I got my carnitas and 5 minutes my tortillas They forgot my husbands menudo I had to asked twice for it ... they are unorganized As a place of high demand right now they need better management to help with the getting people in and out as quick as possible . To top it off we were charge 20percent gratuity which I wouldn't mind if they had great customer service but it was mediocre, it is not on the door , it is no on the menu . It is not visable until you go pay. They have a sign. $25 dollar tip for horrible customer Service is insane . I would have tipped tops 15 percent . The lady with the glasses helping , was frustrated and in a horrible mood , answered me in a very ugly negative way " yo solo Trabajo aqui" the cashier was giving change wrong while in line I witnessed 2 people return for correct change . Overall the food was great ! We loved it . But the atmosphere, and service is not worth my 1 hours drive . Do better carnitas Aguascalientes,
I was extremely disappointed with both the food and the service. When our carnitas arrived, there was hair in the meat. This was completely unacceptable and made the food inedible for us. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, there was no apology and no attempt to resolve the issue. Instead, we were told, “We serve the food with hair here because that’s how we do it. There is so much pork, we don’t have time to clean it.” Not only was the food unhygienic, but the response showed a complete lack of professionalism and concern for customers. We left without eating and will not be returning.
