The traveling Indian says…. Holy shit. That barbeque knocked my socks off. Every bite was right. The greens, beans, salad…. Perfect. And the reason for coming, the meat, absolutely spot on. WOW!! I've lived in the Copperfield/Bear Creek area for 25 years. Carter's barbeque is less than a mile & a half from my house. This is the first time I've ever eaten there, but it definitely will not be my last!! I've been craving barbecue for a while & I usually go to Rudy's on 290, which is pretty good. I did a search & found Carter's barbecue with 93 reviews at a 4.9 in Google, so I had to try it out & I was so happy I did! Shaul Carter, the owner, is a very nice guy & his food is incredible! I ordered a lb of brisket & 2 lb of ribs and I ate on them for 3 days! The ribs were delicious, tender & smoked beautifully. The brisket was incredible! Delicious rub, smoked to perfection, juicy & moist! Plus I got an end piece which I absolutely love!! On top of the flavor the price of the barbecue was incredible! Most places have brisket that's in the $28 range. I believe that Shaul's brisket has a better flavor, taste & moistness than most of the places I've had in the area & his price is only $20/lb! I don't know how he does it for so cheap when all the other places charge so much more but he's got my business! When going there keep an eye out, because his location is a real "blink-and-you'll-miss-it"! The barbecue pit & serving area are in the front corner of a parking lot of a small strip mall on Jackrabbit Road. He's only open 4 days a week, (Thurs-Sun), for 4 hours a day, (2-6pm), so make sure you plan some time to get there! I may go later today or tomorrow to get a few more ribs and to try out the sausage. I'm not a real smoked poultry person & I'm not big on sides at barbecue restaurants so I did not try any of his. I like to make my own green beans, coleslaw & potatoes when I get barbecue, but from the other reviews even his sides & smoked chicken are great! In general you need to make some time to go to Carter's barbecue! As I stated earlier, Shaul is a very nice man, with incredible food & amazing prices!
This was the type of Bar B Que that I'm used to and this was my first time ever hearing and trying it and it was overwhelmingly good!!! The ribs were juicy and moist and I loved the portion of the moist beef brisket that he served me! Also instead of two sides, he served it with three tasty sides, potatoes salad, beans with hammock (I think) and collard greens! The ONLY problem I had is that, he didn't except tap pay or Zelle, but he do have Cash App and I forgot the other way you could pay and I had neither so I had to take a trip to the bank which was no problem especially smoke smell coming from the pit LOL, and also, when I got home, there was no bar b que sauce on the side and I had to use the little I had in my fridge, but overall, this was a delight and I'm definitely going back there soon, he has my BUSINESS!!!🔥💯👍🏾 I also told the cook that, I'ma see what it do, cause it was my first visit and that if it's what I expect, that he's definitely gonna see more of me and he sold it, cause he's definitely got my business, I wish I had a picture to show but it's been four days since I tried it LOL 🤣
