a month agoI ordered a carne guisada plate and it didn't taste good I added pepper to see if it would change the difference of the taste and it didn't I told waitress that I didn't like it and put it to the side so I didn't eat, when I went to go pay they charge me for my plate and I told him I didn't even eat my plate and they said I have to pay because I added pepper and nobody could taste anything out of my plate because I added pepper. So apparently I guess they eat after other people eat on their plates.

a month agoCasa Chacon never disappoints-fresh, flavorful dishes and generous portions every time. Great service, clean vibe. Definitely a go-to spot worth returning to!

2 months agoI hate the oatmeal it was really good. Waitress charged us for extra on a bean and bacon taco. And patty with egg,Extra for a side of ranchero sauce. So with 2 tacos and oatmeal 1 coffee and a tea it was $40 not what I was expecting

6 months agoIf I could give zero stars to this family-owned business, I absolutely would. My family and I have been loyal customers for over five years, and today’s experience was, without question, the worst we’ve ever had. Our first major issue happened when we found two dead roaches inside our coffee. The restaurant removed the coffee from the bill, and we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We chose to continue supporting them despite such a serious health concern. Then, they decided to add an automatic gratuity because we had “six people,” even though three of them were children under the age of six. The forced tip was over $8 — for a party that didn’t even meet the typical criteria for automatic gratuity. But today was the final straw. Our waitress spilled hot liquid and burned my entire right hand, and instead of owning up to the accident, she tried to pretend it never touched me. She didn’t notify the front desk, she didn’t try to make it right, and she didn’t even offer proper help or concern. When I asked them to check the cameras, the owner claimed that if it had really happened, I would have spoken up “in the moment,” instead of after being charged. And then — unbelievably — the owner told me that I am no longer welcome because I “complain too much.” After five years of loyalty, spending money at their establishment, and supporting their family business, this is how they treat the very customers who keep their doors open. So you tell me: was I wrong for expecting basic respect, honesty, and safety? Or were they wrong for dismissing, denying, and disrespecting a loyal customer after burning me and refusing to take responsibility? This business has shown that they do not value their customers, their safety, or their loyalty — and that is something everyone deserves to know.

7 months agoFirst time eating at this Mexican restaurant. This was a flawless five star experience my Carne Asada à la Mexicana meat. Taste was very delicious. I could tell , that they use good meat. Salad and guacamole was all fresh crunchy and delicious. The Boracho beans were flawlessly delicious both of the salsa were very good❤️ the rice was good and even the tortillas were delicious. My Love ordered a chicken taco salad. The ones that come with a shell and she loved it and that’s what she is real Picky.

2 years agoThe Chacon Family and their remarkable staff have offered some delicious, tasty and AMAZING food for years. All it took was one time to come and try their food and every time I fly into SATX, I make it a point to eat here. They offer a homey atmosphere where everyone feels welcome at the table. Their staff are a bunch of professionals and provide superior service. Try their carne guisada - the BEST in SA!!!!! EVER THING is homemade to perfection! Can’t wait to visit again :-)

7 years agoLike eating in Abuela’s kitchen! Small, unimposing and inexpensive Mexican restaurant in the heart of the west side. The food and service are great. The salsa and cheese enchiladas are the best, and the prices and lunch specials are just right.
