I’ve been waiting for an authentic Colombian restaurant in Jacksonville and I’m happy it’s here. The empanadas where delicious and exactly how they should be. The picante was authentic ! The service was good and the server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The bandeja was delicious! The prices are high but if I’m going to pay top dollar it better be delicious and it def was ! Flavor and Service is great !
It’s very difficult to find good Colombian food that reminds us of home, sometimes the food can be too salty or greasy. This is definitely not the case at La Casa de Monica the food was absolutely delicious! The staff is kind, attentive and friendly. My son had the carne asada and an order of tostones and he ate every last bite and said it was phenomenal. I had the sobrebarriga with yuca and rice and I absolutely loved it, It reminded me of my late grandma’s cooking, it’s like a big warm hug 🤗. we will definitely be back to try some more of their delicious food. ☺️
First time there, and my food was very good! I definitely have recommended this place to my friends and neighbors. I ordered the Casuela de frijoles and also the Carne asada with a side of tostones, and French fries.
