6 months agoWhat a cool spot- Lived in AA for nearly three years and only discovered this spot after moving away and revisiting. It’s super cool. The courtyard at the back is like something out of a small New England town, maybe even Europe. The system of ordering and having your order called out on a loud speaker was pretty unique, and the overall ambiance was incredibly lively. This spot had a bit of that pre-modernized authentic Ann Arbor feel, before all the chains and big businesses took over. The food was decent too and drinks were perfectly crisp. Highly recommmend a visit.

7 months agoA mandatory stop when visiting Ann Arbor. Great food and ambience, extremely affordable. We spent around $140 for a party of 6, including drinks and tips. The sangria is a must-have!

7 months agoCame here with a date. he is 22, i am 20. We were met with a rude man up front who kept repeating the phrase “if you are a minor you must be accompanied with an adult” even after i asked if i am just here to eat. He kept repeating the same thing. Absolutely nowhere did it say if you are under 21 you must be with an adult. I AM an adult. Embarrassed me and honestly ruined my mood for the rest of the day. There were so many other ways to address that situation.

9 months agoI dont think people go here for the food :/ Service was nice, space is eclectic and unique but food was awful. It's like a 5 year old went through their fridge and then microwaved whatever they found. For being in Ann Arbor, I would have expected at least mediocre food. Again, i don't think that's why people come here (great college campus vibe). But if you are planning to come here for the food, I would look somewhere else.

2 years agoAs a visitor to Ann Arbor I was taken here by friends. I found it amazing! It’s exactly the kind of American college town place we all know and love. We all have a Dominick’s of our own and coming here brought back all those feelings of good times.

3 years agoOne of Ann Arbor's oldest continually running locales and underappreciated gem. I would definitely contact them for reservations if you're with a large group, but otherwise this is a truly peaceful charming space. People of all ages and backgrounds are warmly welcomed, just read the signs, follow their instructions for how to order and pick up your food and beverages and lean in to the experience. My folks have been coming here since the late 70s, early 80s, and we are so glad that this gem is still around. My secret tip? Don't pass on the food - the prices are super affordable and the portions are huge. Plus the food good.

4 years agoGreat local watering hole. Excellent (and free) reservation option for large groups. Best when weather is nice. Order from the window inside. Sangria has a nice ratio. I found their finger food to be so so. Very conscious and creative place (see pics). Pro tip: get there before 4:20 to beat the lines and the crowds. They will also make their Constant Buzz without alcohol for a reasonable price for those in your group wanting this option. It’s also excellent with the alcohol!

7 years agoDrinks review only. They are known on campus for their constant buzz and sangria, which I order every time I'm there. I graduated a couple years ago but I make an effort to stop by, if they are open during my visit. They are only open during the warmer months (spring, summer, and early fall).
