2 months agoCasa Don Julio has amazing reviews when it comes to food, service, and atmosphere. We know the burritos are truly loved by the whole community. But what we were truly missing in our community was desserts. And Casa Don Julio filled that void! Our table ended up ordering 3 to try and every single one was phenomenal. My recommendation for anyone heading here: get the tres leches.

2 months agoExcellent service, very family friendly atmosphere. The restaurant was very clean and the food was excellent. I would definitely come back. Try the tortilla soup or amigo burrito! Our new go to restaurant!!

3 months agoI ate lunch here today with my family and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is bright, beautifully decorated, and very clean. It’s the type of space where you can tell the owners/employees take pride in what they do. Our waitress was very friendly and patient with our toddlers questions and silly statements. The food was PHENOMENAL. I would ever go so far to say the best in the area. We will absolutely be back.

3 months agoHad lunch early, we were among the first in. Inside the building is immaculate and clean. Service was very attentive, polite and helpful . Breakfast burrito, served all day, huge, and stuffed with goodies. The normal burrito was very good as well and dressed with all the fixings. Do not have thier liquor license as of 1-21, but working on it. Salsa was something of the best I have tried in town. Will be back.

3 months agoNice restaurant with nice furniture and decorated nicely. Service is good and the food is good. Everything had a fancy feel with gold salt pepper shaker, everyone wore uniform, glasses are not plastic, etc. A lot of thought went into opening this new restaurant. It is distinctive. You get one free child and salsa which was plenty.

3 months agoMarion (by Thomas Park) - decide to try it out today; geez are we glad we did. Just found my new favorite Mexican restaurant in CR/Marion! If I could I’d give at least 30-stars here!!! It was frigid cold outside but cozy warm inside even with booth by the window. Good sized crowd, easy to have conversation though. CLEAN restaurant! Service was 15-stars minimum, friendly, all the staff seemed to enjoy working there, smiling, helpful, attentive (my pop never ran dry!). Manager was out on the floor grabbing drinks, chips, etc. this is a great place. Food deserves 20-stars by itself; HUGE portion, price point is budget friendly. Queso was good, for commercial salsa it was way better than other area options, guacamole certainly tasted freshly made. Meal portions are huge! Bring an appetite; like a food challenge sized appetite! The chicken chimichanga was DELICIOUS, almost wanted to lick the plate (didn’t though I wanted to make a mature impression 🤣). Had no room for dessert. Parking wasn’t a problem, free off street parking, sidewalks and parking lot had been shoveled and plowed. This is next to the old McDonalds (just west of the trail bridge) near Thomas Park. Would we go back? Absolutely it’s that good. Queso, 2 meals, two sodas <$42.00 with take home left overs!

3 months agoWhen I went here for lunch, I learned that Casa Don Julio did not have any liquor; apparently they hadn’t earned their license to sell it yet. Though that wasn’t a problem for me as my main concern was the food which turned out to be delicious. I personally recommend the Pollo Con Crema; tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a cream sauce that isn’t too runny. If they offer tortillas, take the offer. They make the meal even better. The service was fine. Our waiters were nice but one seemed to be a bit forgetful (they were probably just new to the crew). Though I do wish they would have some silverware ready for any party coming in. I’ll give this place another visit soon. The food was good and it’s fairly close by.

4 months agoTacos Al Carbon you have the option of Grilled chicken or skirt steak, you get 3 tacos but I was hungry(picture included) The food was absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes are HUGE!!! Definitely worth every bite. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor. The staff are amazing, especially our waiter, who was an incredible person. He kept our drinks filled, constantly checked in to make sure we were satisfied, and made sure we didn't need anything else. His attentiveness and kindness truly made the experience even better. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with generous portions and outstanding service. We will definitely be back!
