See All ReviewsMy husband and I went here a couple weeks ago ~ it wasn’t busy & the place had a great cozy feel to it . They just got their liquor license ;> but before ordering a margarita, I asked if it has enough alcohol or it’s all mix & the waitress of course replied “ yeah they’re good !” So we both got one ( my husband NEVER gets a drink ) we both said it was ALL MIX & when my husband finished his he said “I don’t drink and I feel nothing at all ! “ It’s true .. not a good drink ~ I quickly let some fam and friend know this that were waiting to go there till they got their LL because I don’t want them wasting their money on that . My food was good ! I got the combination & my husband got the chimichanga. The chimichanga was more like a burrito ( not the traditional crispy ) so that was a bit disappointing but we understand that they may be working on perfecting items still . It’s nice that they don’t charge for chips & salsa ( I'm assuming since they never asked and just brought them ) the prices are very good with good portions & we’re certainly not bailing on this place just yet :) I feel bad not giving a RAVE review because I was so… excited about it coming to Boyne ~ since its competition in town is not much “ competition “ since they’re not really a Mexican restaurant & are way overpriced with small portions ~ but they have GOOD DRINKS ! But let’s be real… a good Margarita is very important for a Mexican restaurant since it’s usually the only time someone has one .
I read reviews and still wanted to try out a new place in our small town for myself. We went and had lunch (fajitas, taco salad x2, enchiladas) and all of the meals were just not good. The taco bowl was soggy from the amount of grease pooled at the bottom. Fajitas were not good as the steak was most gristle and fat. The enchiladas were overly salty and the sauce wasn’t great. Even the chips, green sauce, and “salsa” was not good. However the manager was great and came out to ask questions to know what they could approve on. I never complain about food but when every meal is not good it warrants a mention.
Our party of 14 rolled into this place like a small parade, and the staff didn’t even flinch—they delivered flawless, lightning-fast service like it was nothing. Every single dish was a masterpiece, but the fajita quesadilla deserves its own fan club. I’m convinced it was crafted by a higher power, because one bite nearly made me rethink my life choices. The food came out hot, perfect, and so delicious. Drinks stayed full, chips kept coming, and we were treated like VIPs the entire time. If you’re wondering whether to go: stop wondering and GO. This place is a flavor miracle. 🌮🔥
