4 weeks agoPlenty of parking and dining room to eat in. Grabbed my order to go with a wait time less than 10 mins. The young lady working the front was so sweet. I got the turkey wings, greens and yams and everything was good! Plentiful for leftovers or to share. Everything was seasoned and hot! Will definitely keep this in rotation ❤️

a month agoThe food is absolutely delicious. The customer service was over the top. Such a wonderful atmosphere to dine in. All of the deserts are homemade and taste great!! I experienced the best strawberry lemonade on this side of Heaven!! You must go get a taste of the Cassy' experience.

2 months agoI was in town for the weekend and wanted to try some soul food. Casey's Kitchen popped up on a google search. After looking at pictures & reviews we went in. Oh my goodness!!!! The shrimp & grits with bacon were so good and fillimg. My drink was fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade. It wasn't too sweet. I didn't drink it all & was able to take the rest with me. It was a little busy but it was Sunday after church & Easter Sunday so we knew it would be a wait. We were immediately seated but it took awhile to order; again it was busy so we understood. Great atmosphere. We were not disappointed at all. You get 3 sides. My cousin got the smothered pork chop with macaroni $ cheese, cabbage & yams. When I come back to Houston I will be stopping by.

2 months agoBest soul food in the city. Depending on the day, its busy, but they manage it well. Cassie, her husband, her mom, and PJ will be sure you are seated and served. Whatever meat you choose you must get the yams. These yams had me singing Teddy Riley's song, Yams, Ol Yams.......They have crawfish, pork chops, fish, oxtails, and ask my man on the grill about that boudan sausage. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

4 months agoFood was excellent. Only issue I had is trying to charge for a to go container for my red beans and rice. I couldn't eat all my food and the to go container for my food only had one section and two smaller sections for sides, well they give you three sides so didn't have a place to put the beans, because my pork Chop took up the bigger section. At the end they changed their mind about charging me for it. All in all the food was great along with the atmosphere

6 months agoCassy’s Kitchen was a great experience from start to finish. The food was amazing, and the portions were generous for the price, which is always a plus. From the moment me and my wife walked in, we were greeted with great energy and welcoming vibes that made us feel right at home. If you’re in Houston and looking for some really good soul food, we definitely recommend stopping by Cassy’s Kitchen. Everything we had was satisfying, flavorful, and well worth it. We will definitely be back!

10 months agoWow, I'm so glad we came here. Everyone inside is so nice and welcoming. I love the family atmosphere and the food! Oh my gosh the food! Everyone in there is helpful and they are so proud of what they're doing. You have to try the oxtails, chicken wings, cornbread, yams, stuffing, turkey, and the mustard greens. Anything you pick on this menu you are going to be so happy with. They even have breakfast and those pancakes looked amazing. They deserve all the success because you can tell everything they do is with love and for family. When we come back to Houston we will definitely come back!!!

10 months agoExcellent food and service. The oxtails were excellent but go early because they sell out fast. The portions are good and the food was hot and delicious. The cashier and waitress, Mandy, is so friendly and welcoming. She made our first visit very special. She treated all of their customers this way. She is a jewel!
