See All ReviewsFirst time diner here and it was delish! Fresh food, great flavors, enjoyable atmosphere and great service (which can be hard to find)! We got the aguachile, octopus tacos, surf n turf taco, tuna tostada & drinks! Everything was played beautifully and well enjoyed! We will be back!
Cayuco Seafood & Grill has that fresh coastal décor that makes you want to sit down, slow things down a bit, and enjoy a laid-back afternoon of good seafood. Right when you arrive they bring out a complimentary seafood broth, a nice touch that warms up the table. The chips come out just right—crispy and perfect for dipping, the kind you keep reaching for without thinking. I went for the Cayuco Tower, since it brings together some of the most tempting seafood on the menu. The seafood itself tastes fresh and bright, exactly what you hope for in a Valley-style mariscos spot. The only downside is that about halfway through, the balance shifts—there’s a bit too much onion and cucumber compared to the good seafood, so the portion of the star ingredients feels smaller than expected. The sushi rolls have good size and flavor, and the sauces carry a pleasant kick with the classic sides you expect. The rice, though, has a slightly odd texture—very compact, almost industrial in feel. The aguas frescas were a bit too sweet for my taste, which ends up masking the natural flavors they should complement. All in all, it feels like a place that’s just getting started but has good potential. With a few adjustments based on what diners are noticing, it could really dial things in. I’d come back and see how it evolves.
Really nice place. My wife order sea food and she said it was really good. I order the pichana and it was delicious. We got fajita cheese tacos for my kid and it was good. My waiter was kind of weird. He did not know the menu or something he had to go and ask every time maybe he was new.
