See All ReviewsFirst, understand that this is a BAR that serves food and has a few bowling lanes as well - I know it sounds odd, but it's true. The bar/dining area is small and grungy - but again.. understand that it's an old school bar first. You smell cigarette smoke the second you run into the place, and it's not entirely handicapped accessible. The service was a little slow - waited almost an hour for food, but the place was busy. The food is basic bar food - but pass on the fries, they were freezer burned and you could taste it. This is a place where hardcore Harley riders probably frequent + locals.. so know your crowd. So go if you're looking for this kind of atmosphere.
We went to the Cedar Grove Tavern over the weekend and had awesome experience. The food and service were great. We grew up in this area and often forget that it exists - it is sort of the beaten path. They have good fried chicken, hand patted burgers and pizza steak hoagies. This may just become our new spot. We will definitely be back.
Beer was cold, can't tell you about the food because we couldn't get served. My thinking is they need help. Locals money must be greener than mine they seem to get served. Oh well maybe will have to try again sometime. But 45 minute drive little far for just a beer
