See All ReviewsGo to el caribe in the south end or la candela on county street. Celias price point, serving sizes and service have not been on par the last 3-4 times I have eaten here or did take out. 100$ for 2 adults and 3 children, and we were still hungry. On my most recent take out order, quality is not what is was pre covid. Salads taste plastic like, carne fritas were sitting out , 1/4 lb of chicharone for 10$, and the beans were almost all liquid. Not to mention they didnt include 2 orders of rice. Will never eat here again.
I went in to pick up food for someone else, spoke to George and asked if they had a takeout menu because from what I could see the food options looked delicious. The phrase I probably used was “up me alley” I have probably driven by this place 500 times just in various travels through the city. Today was a happy coincidence and George gained Celia’s a new customer what he did today was above and beyond and a testament to the delicious food this place has to offer, staff overall extremely friendly. Will certainly recommend to others who haven’t, to give this spot a visit, and try food that’s so flavorful and tender, I cannot wait to go back. George your plan worked. To the staffin it’s entirety, stay blessed, and to Celia’s, can’t wait to return ❤️
Chill with a large space to sit. All the food is prepared and ready at the counter, and you can ask for whatever you want on your plate. None of the foods were labeled but the server was extremely friendly and helped us out. Absolutely loved the goat and pernil with the rice and plantains. The servings are ENORMOUS and great value--two of us shared a plate and were stuffed! Nice music playing, too. Parking across the street.
