Very nice spot. Not huge, but roomy and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful - brought me a second iced tea before I finished the first. Food was good, l like steak fries best, and served hot and quickly.
I ordered a pastrami on rye w/American cheese +deli mustard and small fries. Asked if pickles came with it. I was told it comes w/ a pickle spear. The entire time I’m waiting and watching people pay for their meals, I heard exchanges of Thank you and Merry Christmas between the staff and customers. As I kept meeting the eyes of the cook glancing at me I prayed for my meal since I was the only black person in the restaurant and wasn’t treated as cordial as the other patrons. To be honest it made me feel some kind of way! Even when called to pick ip my meal there was no exchange of a Thank you, a merry Christmas nor did I receive a pickle spear. It’s the little things that count for me; Especially if I discern that I was treated differently! My last meal there! RIP CPD
Ordered simple sandwiches and mine wasn't made right, there was a single slice of meat. They also decided to sub out one of my italian meats for turkey. Their 4$ potato salad was a small cup of it, and my soda was filled to the top with ice and barely any drink to go. Absolutely disappointing and considering the small amount of food I got, they're beyond over priced. My badly bare boned 2 meals, cost 30$.
