Dr. Scott Chae took such great care of my Mom diagnosed her, and gave her kind and detailed explanations regarding the treatment options.. I was wondering why she met him so late… He did his best when surgery was not easy due to her multiple comorbidities. It seemed he did everything he could. Although my Mom eventually underwent surgery due to my mother’s unique issues, he visited her hospital twice a day to check on her condition even after the surgery, always sharing his bright energy. I sincerely thank our Heavenly Father who led and guided our meeting for allowing us to meet such a great doctor this difficult time. All the medical staffs and our family members expected that the surgery would solve all the problems, but there were still issues has left. In such a situation, the discharge plan was reached through close discussion and cooperation with other teams including the colorectal surgical team as the best method for my Mom. It was weekly blood work and receiving a blood transfusion based on the results. Just as Dr. Chae was kind enough to my mother while she was hospitalized, he continued to sincerely help my Mom receive the blood transfusion easily after discharge. The weekly blood draw was arranged for the JFK phlebotomist to come to my house, so it was a little easier… But her insurance company sent her to the St. P*** outpatient Infusion center which means they check blood count again to get the result for the blood transfusion… I wished to have my Mom blood draw and transfusion done in the same group as possible. Dr. Chae was willing to help. From ‘the required prescription’ to ‘filling up the blood transfusion consent form’ needed at the outpatient infusion center he promptly and wholeheartedly helped us out, allowing my Mom to have both the blood draw and the transfusion in the same group. I really don't know what to say about my gratitude and I can't express it in any adjectives. I truly can’t thank you enough!!!
I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Chae (6/11/25) and I have to say the experience from the beginning to the end exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring. There was a small hiccup with the insurance and Rosa went out of her way to make sure it was resolved. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Son I believe was her name put me at ease and was the sweetest lady ever!! Dr. Chae explained everything in detail after the procedure was complete and answered any questions I had. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to the entire office!
I met Doctor Chae while I was in JFK hospital, July of 24.He was excellent.He explained everything to me.He did an endoscopy on-site found i had a lot of holes in my stomach.He treated me.Explained everything to me then in April I was getting severe middle to upper pain in My stomach, I called his office. He had already gone for the day the next day which was Saturday around 12 o'clock He called me told me keep an eye on it. If I have any problems to call him, he will give me some medication.He's great.His staff is great plus he's a mets fan that makes it even better
