See All ReviewsThe Adana kebab wrap was expensive and extremely dry. I couldn’t taste anything while eating the kebab. I really don’t understand why you press the kebab in a sandwich grill and dry it out like that
Started with the Adana wrap. The lavash was so dry it could probably double as sandpaper or a sail if the wind picked up. The meat seemed to have retired early from the grill: dry, joyless, and utterly flavorless. The salad looked like it showed up on the plate by accident, wondering what it was doing there. I didn’t give up. Thought maybe the döner would redeem things—but no. It arrived cold, as if it had been made in the morning and forgotten until evening. The meat had so little flavor I briefly questioned if it was actually meat. The fries and salad on the side were the only bright spot; clearly, the person in charge of potatoes knows what they’re doing. All in all, this food truck felt less like a ‘stop for flavor’ and more like a ‘pause for disappointment.
They offer a great variety of authentic Turkish dishes, and their döner is one of the best in the Austin area. The quality is remarkably close to what I had in Istanbul. As a Turkish person, I feel lucky to have such a place nearby. Highly recommended!
