See All ReviewsI ordered the shrimp scampi. They didn't have any linguine and asked me if I wanted it with spaghetti. That was fine, not a big deal. The sauce was delicious but as I was eating, I bit into a shell. I brushed it off, removed the shell from the tail and kept eating. I bit into another piece of shrimp and got another shell. Every piece of shrimp had the shell on the tail. When the waitress came to check on us, I told her that it was great except for the shells. I told her that she should let the kitchen staff know that they didn't remove the shells properly. She said that was how it was prepared. They left the shell on purposely. I've never been served shrimp scampi like that before. I will definitely go back but I don't think that I will order the shrimp scampi again. On another note, my sister ordered the eggs Benedict and loved it.
Stopped by the Charles Town Family Diner and had a great meal. The patty melt was cooked perfectly, the fries were hot and crispy, and the homemade pickle was a nice touch. The waitress was very attentive and always kept my glass full. Friendly service and good comfort food. I’ll definitely be back.
In my view, Ms. Contance R., could have informed us that they charge for putting sauce on the spaghetti of the chicken parmesan and that a side vegetable with the chicken tenders has extra charge. Their chicken tenders taste perfect and are crunchy but needed to be more tender. My husband was content with his chicken parmesan that was served with salad and toasts.
