Been wanting to try Chatman’s for years and finally got the chance in May 2026. We were immediately greeted warmly and offered a sample of delicious fried pork rib. Ended up with an order of those and fried chicken plates. The chicken was crisp and juicy and generally cooked to perfection. The green beans were the best we’ve ever had. Collard greens were on point too! This is a family run establishment and the proprietors are beyond welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!
First time and I absolutely loved it! I went through the drive-thru and asked for a recommendation on one of the sides after choosing corn fritters as one. It was suggested that I try the green beans and these are now my favorite green beans in town! I devoured my super crunchy spicy chicken and will definitely be making special trips back since I don't live in the area. I'm really looking forward to trying the chicken and waffles on my next visit.
Great experience all around. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was a 10/10. Some of the best fried chicken we've ever had. Potato salad was a hit. My wife said it reminds her of her late mothers potato salad she would make growing up. We will definitely be back.
