a week agoA literal hole in the wall. Honestly if you blink you'll miss it. I was referred here by some friends. They said it was wonderful. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I did go towards closing time so that may be the result of my experience but I got the chicken pastry with macaroni and potatoes salad. Not a super fan of the chicken pastry just because I was brought up on chicken and dumplings but still wasn't bad. The chicken and the pastry were super tender but unfortunately I found bones in mine. I felt that it was lacking some spices also. The mac'n cheese however was really good and cheesey. The potato salad was the best thing I tried out of everything. It made me feel like I was a kid again sitting at Grandma's house. I highly recommend trying it. I also got a side of yams which lacked alittle brown sugar and was super overpowering on cinnamon. I did get a BBQ pulled turkey sandwich. Never heard of anyone doing it this was. It's literally what it sounds like.....just a bbq sandwich but turkey instead of pork. It wasn't bad but not saying I'd order it again either. Overall I just felt like the food lacked the southern spice and charm.

4 months agoChele's Cafe is most definitely a go to place to get some delicious soul food. Everything is always on point, please visit if you can... you will not be disappointed!!!

8 months agoFried chicken is seasoned to perfection and the turkey barbecue is competition worthy! Sides are great also! Definitely a hidden gem!

2 years agoI have never been to Chelsea and not had a great experience! The food will make you come back for more! Just like grandma cooking! The hot dog chili is like no other… I want the recipe please!

3 years agoWe went for the pulled pork after passing by this place twice. We should have stopped sooner. The Eastern pork bbq was delicious. I like the vinegar base slaw and doctored up green beans. The only bummer was that the menu says pulled pork but it is chopped. The desserts looked good and others were grabbing them but after scarfing down the whole plate, I had no room.

4 years agoPretty amazing food and it was extremely fast. I only come here one every six months for work but I’ll be sure to come back. It was so darn good.
