2 weeks agoI've been there twice now. Both times with leftovers because I enjou trying multiple items. So far nothing has disappointed. The birria tacos are top notch and the price is fantastic. I've tried chorizo, pork, chicken, steak, and tongue tacos. All of which have been awesome. Especially the tongue ones, seriously, give it a try. They have a green and a red salsa which some might consider a little too hot, red being the spicier one. But I personally found them both delightful. Green being a mild/medium and red being a medium/hot. Again I like spicy though so to some even the green would be hot... I would highly recommend this place and will be back to try more things

3 weeks agoI love this place. Most weeks, me and my buddy eat dinner here at least once. They have fantastic food, I have ordered multiple menu items, and haven't had anything bad. The pricing is also good. The staff is extremely friendly, and they treat everyone well, it is a great family atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to eat food!

3 months agoThe food was so good. The service was super. My husband got the machetes, I got the enchiladas, and my daughter got the burrito. Price point was good for the amount of food we got. The only thing I didn't care for was the queso.

4 months agoGood taco spot! It’s always clean and the food has beautiful presentation. A true taco gem in Arp. The green sauce has a different taste— I just wish it was spicier. I genuinely enjoy their food. You’ll have to try Chelita’s! 🌮 Oh and the drinks are so refreshing during the summer.

6 months agoNestled on the outskirts of the tiny town of Arp, TX sits one of those places that has seen more restaurants than patrons. The current establishment in this location is different, though. Chelita's Tacos is the name, but tacos are just the beginning of their game. I've had nearly everything on their menu and it's all next-level good. Because of this, I was actually saddened when I heard they were going to start offering breakfast. You see, although that area is lacking when it comes to breakfast choices, I've noticed a trend. Every time an establishment in this particular location offers breakfast, it's a last-ditch effort. We're normally less than a month from seeing yet another closure when this happens. Nonetheless, my addiction to huevos rancheros got excited. Perhaps this could change things for them, if I go often enough and drop addict-levels of cash on their counter... I LOVE all things desayuno, but huevos rancheros earned a special place in my belly when I had it for the first time at another local establishment, to be reviewed at another time. That particular plate set the standard for me. Things have been fairly difficult since then, as apparently every restaurant has a COMPLETELY different idea of what this dish should be. This usually ends in disappointment for me. When Chelita's presented me with their version, I was admittedly quite concerned. Yet another strange version of the dish I so feign. Served as a tostada was a wild concept to me. No way this would be good. Y'all, I was BIG WRONG! Where is the huevos rancheros competition, and how do these guys enter?!? Absolutely incredible! So, when I make the drive to little ol' Arp, I do it with a bigger smile on my face than I used to. When I walk in the doors, I'm greeted with smiling faces and warm welcomes. As I shovel the delicious food into my face, it's my happy place. Even today, amidst the first ever inconsistency (overcooked tortillas), it was still an easy 9/10. Make the drive to Arp and see for yourself, but if for no other reason, to help me keep this place around! Atmosphere is nice, service is as friendly as it gets, portions are HUGE (a bit pricey, but not too bad when you consider the size), and the food is to-die-for!

8 months agoStreet tacos and Birria tacos were authentic and tasted great. Just real food. Guacamole was fresh and chunky! Portion sizes were generous.
