I get the same sub whenever I go in here. It's the footlong white, steak, no cheese, only mayonnaise. This thing ROCKS. It's simple, quick, and oh so full of flavor!! They never scrimp on the meat making certain you're definitely getting your money's worth. You don't get a pile of meat in the middle with both ends of the bun empty, it's solid all the way across so you get an enjoyable mouthful of everything on the sub from tip to tip. And, for what you're getting, I'd say it's priced very reasonably and fairly. It used to be that on Tuesdays you'd get two subs for the regular price + $1.00 if you bought a drink. They've apparently changed that deal to Wednesdays, now, which was a disappointment because I went in on Tuesday specifically for that deal. I mean, how can you go wrong getting basically two footlong subs for the price of one just by adding a drink?! At any rate, it's still a decent price getting only the one. Very rarely have I encountered an employee with any kind of an attitude whatsoever, and in the rare case that I have it wasn't directed at me. The service has always been very good and (even though it's pretty difficult to screw up my sub because it's quite literally nothing but bread, steak, and mayonnaise) my sub has ALWAYS been 100% accurate. I honestly can't think of anything that I can complain about other than on occasion there will be several young females working the counter who will sometimes be more concerned about what one's boyfriend did that day (or something similar) than taking care of building the customers' subs so you can be standing in line for a significant amount of time...ESPECIALLY on the 2fer special days where there will be 20-30 people standing in line at times. Generally speaking, though, unless you get that one person (and you KNOW you will) who comes in and orders 396 subs, every last one of them different, with 80+ toppings on each one where all subs have one or more differences in the toppings which takes almost the entire shift just to satisfy that ONE CUSTOMER (you know the type, one extra black olive on it has to be removed, not enough pickles so two must be added, etc., etc.,) unless you're stuck behind "this woman" you're generally in and right back out again with exactly what you ordered and with very friendly service on top of it. I have never had a bad experience here that the restaurant had anything to do with, it's ALWAYS that ONE CUSTOMER that must tie up the line and make 854 people wait 6 hours until the 163 subs they're ordering are JUST SO. I HIGHLY recommend this place. It SMOKES Subway without even trying.
I was very disappointed! I won't be back! Food was subpar, staff was rude,my fountain drink had black speckles in it, I spent 25 $ I m embarrassed to see you fall so far, no side of aujuo, one slice of beef on a Chicago combo truly one of THE most grossly disappoints
Not what it used to be when Dave was the owner. Prices are higher, quality is lower. Steak used to be the best around, now it’s dried up and definitely not worth $12.99 for a footlong. Still enjoy the atmosphere and come occasionally but not every Tuesday like we used to.
Food is good. Holy moly the older women behind the counter today with the hankie on her head, making subs is crazy rude. I'm still shocked at how she was speaking to customers.
ok so We have not ate there YET. But, we were in there today at another business for food, we ventured down to this stores area and the smell of fresh bread is all around! It smelled amazing. My other half is stopping in Weds this week in early evening to order us subs. Can not wait to try them! BTW they keep their food area very clean and the tables were clean. We did speak to one of the staff and she was very nice. Several customers told us this place has super good food. :) Gave 5 stars for what I experienced today. :)
Just keeps getting worst. Used to be the best subs around. But After new ownership they shrunk the size of the subs and raised the prices. Subs aren't half as big as before.bread sucked. Oh and they changed the buffalo sauce which isn't very good either. they Won't have my business anymore.
I’ve eaten here many times since moving to the area about a year ago and have not been disappointed even once. The meat and vegetables are fresh and of good quality. The place beats Subway hands-down. Not even a comparison there. I haven’t seen other places generally offer items like spinach leaves and green olives or even jalapeños for its subs - but this place does. Oh, and if you want a little extra of any of the vegetables, just ask them. That’s another difference from some of the other sub shops around. (Yes, extra meat and extra cheese will cost a little extra like everywhere else.) My favorites? Their spicy Italian is like Subway’s BMT (but better), and their tuna salad subs have always been great. Tuesdays are the best days to go if you don’t mind waiting in line for a while - buy a sub and a large drink and get another sub for $0.99 I think. Considering that they’re in the same building with A&W, you can buy a large soda from them and fill it up with A&W’s freshly made root beer. Nobody really cares as I think all the restaurants there are run by the same folks.
BEST sub place in the tri-county area. fresh food, courteous help. Good prices, especially on Tuesday- buy a sub and a soda, get another sub for .99!!!!! Go there today. No one compares. BTW- If you read Kelly Ross's review below...he was trying to review subway, not Chicago Fresh Sliced Subs! haha.
