Fish looked good, tasted terrible. We had the specials: Fried Grouper and Black Cod. The grouper was definitely NOT fresh. Smelled and tasted old. Vegetables were very salty, mashed potatoes looked lovely, but were cold. Cod was mushy, not flaky, and risotto was salty. The salt didn’t hide the fact that the fish was old. Drinks were good, service good, atmosphere okay. Waiter was great. No need for take out boxes, the meal went into the restaurant garbage. $184 and inedible. We won’t return.
I come here all the time, and we always ask for Malia as our server—she’s the best! Seriously, she goes above and beyond every single time. She’s incredibly kind and genuine, and she really makes the experience amazing. We honestly wouldn’t keep coming back if it weren’t for her, since we haven’t had great service with anyone else there. Malia always takes care of us with a big smile and a great attitude. We even tell all our friends and out-of-town guests to ask for her when they visit. If she’s not working, we’d rather come back another time—she’s that good. The food and atmosphere are solid, but it’s really Malia that makes the place special. Without her, you’re missing out on what real customer service should feel like. Let me know if you’d like this in a different tone too!
I come here very often. And we ALWAYS get the same server, in fact we ASK for her and do not want anyone else. Malia literally goes above and beyond to meet all of our needs and more. She is the most kind genuine person I have ever met in the service industry. She will literally go out of her way to accommodate you and do it with a smile and kind heart. We look forward to our visits just to see Malia. Without her I don’t think we would come back, as we’ve had not so great service with anyone else there. We recommend this place to all of our friends and family, local; and the ones who come from out of town and we always tell them; ask for Malia; or just leave/ cause the greatness comes from her and her genuine good attitude to give us her best. Without Malia you’d have no sense of legit good customer service
