2 months agoThat wasn’t Chicharron!! Don’t waste your money here. It was carnitas not chicharron.👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 wish they had negative 5 star

3 months agoThis was are first time trying the restaurant. Greeted by staff. They were very willing to assist in what was best. Chicaronas were good. However, the trip as were a grey color, kinda thought maybe due to the lights over hot table to keep them warm. Once we got home, warmed them in a skillet. Terrible the grey color got worst and couldn't even bite through them. I bought a whole pound which was a waste of money. Won't be trying this establishment again

Edited 5 months agoThis is not are first time getting food from this place. I was making a few tacos and noticed the sharp metal shaving in the Barbacoa. Very blessed that we did not consume this. Tried speaking with people to let them know and all they did was just pass the phone around and act like they did not understand and no manager available. FYI check the meat before you consume it. Attached is the receipt of purchase.

7 months agoSo disappointed! We arrived at 3:45 and the kitchen was already closed, yet the menu and hours shown say 5pm!

10 months agoThey don’t have prices listed, my husband ordered a half a dozen tamales for $15!!! They were super skinny, greasy, brittle and barely any meat. The Barbacoa was good though.

a year agoFirst time here and was very impressed. As I walked in, cashier and servers greeted me. Very clean restaurant and you’re able to dine in. Barbacoba has a good flavor and not very greasy. Mollejas and Tripas are Awesome as well. Everything has a good homemade flavor. Pork tamales have plenty of meat and are not dry. I forgot to order some carnitas but over all everything was delicious.

a year agoDelicious carnitas. The chicharron was delicious, just wasn’t as crispy as I expected. The tripas were also really good. I did go right before they closed, so next time I’ll go way earlier and hope to get a fresh batch. Very glad they opened this very authentic spot near la porte…. We needed it!
