I can not tell you how many times I have driven by this place in the last two years. Today on my way home to Wheeling I saw the BBQ sign flying and the smoke rising so I decided to stop. It did not take me long to choose The slop bucket, for myself I ordered the pulled turkey that was placed atop a mound of Mac n cheese I was given a choice of mustard BBQ sauce or sweet bbq. I will always choose mustard. Since I was on my way home I picked up the brisket slop bucket for my hunny. Boy was he happy! We sat at the table together and raved about how delicious every morsel was. We will be eating from Chiefs again that is for certain.
We were within the first 20 customers do you ever order. We always get a small bucket. Which is plenty enough for my wife and I to eat dinner. Then I would even have little bit left for lunch the next day. Fast forward a few years and there is barely enough for one person to eat off of. I say something about it today. So I ended up ordering extra mac and cheese. To get home and eat our dinner that was not enough there for us both. I have had this conversation with a few other people around town. They all have said the same thing the portion sizes or less than half what they used to be. Probably been there 50 or 60 times since they have opened. Now I don't believe we will ever come back........
All of the food we had was good!! We had pulled pork sandwiches, Mac & Cheese, potato salad, coleslaw & baked beans. The baked beans were our favorite side!! The seating is outside & they have a fire pit to sit near if it’s cool out. Definitely stop by and grab a meal if you’re nearby.
