I really enjoyed my meal here and everything felt authentic and full of flavor. The staff were super welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my visit. It is a great spot to grab something delicious, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy to just sit back and enjoy my lunch. I would definitely come back to try more things on the menu next time I am in the area.
After moving to Omaha, as a Guatemalan I was excited to find a guatemalan restaurant with a menu that had traditional dishes. We ordered the garnachas, pupusas, Chile rellleno, and a platain. It could be that this is how they are made in a different region but I did not find them made correctly. My boyfriend and I agreed that the food was heavily on the salty and greasy side. The only thing that we found somewhat enjoyable was the pupusas. If you decide to visit and have not tried guatemalan food anywhere else, I would not want this to define guatemalan food for you. I took the time to write this because i truly feel like this doesn't do justice to guatemalan cuisine.
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was genuinely upsetting. While we were trying to eat, we noticed multiple roaches near the wall and one even ran across the floor close to our table. It completely killed our appetite and made us question the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and food handling. Beyond that, the restaurant just felt unkempt—sticky tables, an odd smell, and a general lack of care. The staff were polite enough, but no one seemed surprised or concerned when we mentioned what we saw. For a place that serves food, basic sanitation should be non-negotiable, and this was far below any acceptable standard. I ended up leaving without finishing my meal because I didn’t feel safe eating there. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the cleanliness issues immediately, but I can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone in its current condition.
