Excellent Excellent!!!! Food was delicious all of it!!! Service was Excellent!!! Clean and upbeat atmosphere!!!! I hope they decide to open one in The Woodlands 😊
I am DISGUSTED!! I just came back from leave to visit family. I was so excited to eat these tacos and there was a WHOLE ROACH walking around my food. When I called back the sever sounded more concerned about the situation than the store manager. The manager literally said “I’m sorry about that we will look into getting a refund” and then HUNG UP! I will never go here again and don’t let anyone you love go here.
We’ve been regulars at Chiludos since they opened about a year ago and have always loved it — great food and great service. Unfortunately, today’s lunch was a huge letdown. We ordered our usual: birria tacos, elote, spicy salsas, plus a cucumber jalapeño margarita and a pineapple margarita. There was confusion with our drink order that we had to clarify. Our tacos were delivered first, then our drinks arrived, and the elote (our appetizer) came last, which made the whole experience feel disorganized. When the food arrived, it was shocking. The birria tacos were lukewarm, with soggy tortillas, and the meat was incredibly bland — something we have never experienced here before. The spicy salsas we requested when we first sat down didn’t arrive until much later, and our server didn’t check back in until we were basically finished picking at the food. On top of that, we were dealing with fruit flies at the table, and the constant zapping sound of an electric fly swatter our server was using behind the bar was extremely off-putting during a meal. The most confusing part is how much this place has changed. New owners? New kitchen staff? An off day? Whatever it was, the quality and overall experience were far below what Chiludos used to be. We spent $67, left still hungry, and are now heading to a taco truck — something we never thought we’d say after eating here.
