My relatives always order from here. They claim it is the best around. I tried it tonight for the first time. Very polite service when ordering, ready in 10 minutes. The serving size is generous. Will return to try other menu items. Tonight I'm enjoying the General Tso's combination. I felt I spent my money wisely. Delicious!
I really like the food at this restaurant. Priced right and lots of it. The lady at the counter must be busy. You really need to greet customers even though it’s take out, you should interact a little. She wasn’t rude just busy I guess. The food makes it a good neighborhood place. See for yourself!
I asked for lomein instead of fried rice. They didn't put any of the normal vegetables in it (green onions & bean sprouts). It makes a huge difference so it's not just pasty bland noodles. When I asked why and explained my concern, I was told that when substituting a side they don't make it the same to save them cost. Firstly the fried rice has more than just rice in it. Secondly, sacrificing the quality and flavor of my food was definitely not ok. 3rd... I asked how much I could pay for my handful of garnishing vegetables and was told they don't do that!! They used to be better than other places. Now they are sacrificing quality for very petty costs. This is very disappointing. I'll be finding a new spot.
I can’t believe this place is still open! Nothing has changed. 15 years ago I had a cockroach floating in my wonton soup and I was done with that place! Looking at recent reviews people are finding bugs and worms in their food! What I find most amusing are the good reviews! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
Purchased chicken and broccoli and a veggie egg roll. Great portion size but the rice was crumbly and dried out and the veggie egg roll taste burnt as if it was refried in old grease. Nothing tasted fresh. Definitely a disappointment..
Very disappointed in having to write this review, but I want to bring awareness to others and hope an inspection will be done. We have been coming here for years. This was our go-to for Chinese take-out until a recent incident. Two completely different meals were ordered and we both found bugs/worms in our food within the first couple of bites. We were in shock and in denial. An immediate call was made to the restaurant to let them know and they kindly offered to make us a new meal, but we declined. They then offered to give us a refund. Both meals were returned and a refund was issued. When we brought back the dishes, a couple employees looked and confirmed they were indeed bugs and apologized. Overall, the restaurant is take-out only/cash only, and the interior is very unkept and dirty with visible spiderwebs and dust.
I got this last Thursday and had to write a review because it was so good, it popped into my mind again. I used to get this restaurant all the time years ago, but had stopped going. I remembered the quality being a little inconsistent. I had a random inkling to try it again and I’m so glad I did. The woman was friendly on the phone and nice when I went to pick up my food too. I am happy to say the food is exactly like I remembered it being. Everything was fresh, piping hot, the chicken was white inside and perfectly crispy and golden brown, and the rice was hot and delicious too. Sauce had great flavor, not too sweet. Thank you for a good meal because I really needed a comfort meal when I ordered it and it did all that it needed to
Prices were good. Food was okay, some better than others. Honey chicken (breaded) was the best meal, the Mongolian beef was decent. What I don’t recommend- The veggies were slimy, the fried rice was absolutely terrible and that’s my favorite dish. The wonton soup was pretty unsavory, abd the chicken lo mein was not great. If I were you I’d order fried chicken off of this menu. Sloppy food.
