I placed a to-go order for delivery and specifically requested fresh rice. I was assured it would be made fresh. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The rice was clearly not fresh, and the orange chicken tasted like it had been sitting out as well. When I called to address the issue, I was met with, “What do you want us to do? The rice was made today.” That response was disappointing and dismissive. There’s a difference between food being made earlier in the day and being served fresh—and this was not fresh. For a $22 meal, I expect better quality and customer service. Fresh rice is a basic standard, not a special request, especially for a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine.
I ordered from doordash and was not impressed the orange chicken was pretty good but I was not impressed with the lo mein and fried rice. The fried rice wasn't even fried, just steamed with very little soy sauce and the lo mein was a little too soggy. I only gave 2 stars only because the chicken was good but it definitely would've been a 1 star if the chicken was not good. Disappointing.
I’ve only ever gotten take out from here. I’ve had trouble finding a good Chinese place in Irving and I’ve tried a good handful. This place is my favorite. I will not go anywhere else.
