Classic Chinese American fare at a good price and quality. We made an order for a large family gathering- 6 or 7 dishes and appetizers. Imagine my surprise when they said "Give us 20 minutes"! Food was delicious, we opted for classics like Broccoli beef and sesame chicken. The folks behind the counter were so friendly too. Overall a very nice experience!
This is my second time visiting this restaurant (my first visit was in 2023), and this time I felt compelled to leave a review. Our favorite dishes were the roast duck, tofu with spicy pepper salt, and the salted fish chicken fried rice. We stayed in Reno for four days and ended up dining here three times—it was that good. I also learned that the restaurant has a long history dating back to the Gold Rush era, evolving over the years into what is now known as the “Chinese Duck House.” If you’re looking to experience truly authentic Cantonese-style roast duck, this is definitely a must-visit spot. Did a pick up order through door dash. As soon as I got to the car you could see one of the containers had opened and was spilling into the bag. It was cold and raining so didn't bother to go in and have it fixed. Get home and try the food as this was my first time ordering from this restaurant. The Mongolian beef was awful I'm not sure what cut of steak or beef they're using but it's rubbery and there was no chilies at all does really runny brown gravy on it with peppers and onions. The egg flower soup had almost no eggs and was just broth. The general's chicken had no spice to it at all and the sauce was also very runny. The chicken itself was soggy it was not crispy and all the food had no flavor and tasted like it was not salted whatsoever. I would not recommend this restaurant unless this was the last place in town. The fact that this was a pickup order and not a delivery is even worse because I got there right as I got the text saying that the order was completed so the food had no opportunity to sit there and get soggy.
