4th time here. Party of 8. Over 500$ tab. One of our group ordered his steak medium. Came out extremely rare and had to be re-fired two times after it came back totally untouched and still extremely rare with dark red, raw center second time! They gave absolutely no consideration saying he ate his meal. I told them he had to eat alone because they couldn't get a steak cooked correctly after two attempts! Chef never came out to our group although he had no problem hanging with some "regulars" He finally came outside as we were leaving after paying our full Bill. Not to apologize, but to lecture us on how difficult it is to cook a steak correctly??? He said we got 7 of 8 meals good though !!! I said our friend had to eat alone because they couldn't cook his steak correctly. READ the other reviews with very similar complaints. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They could have showed even a bit of consideration but chose to be ARROGANT. Never again.
My uncle was there tonight. Please read this Went to dinner with some of our best friends David and Maria Franklin to the chophouse 101 tonight at the European village the first thing that got our attention was we had made reservations for a party of four and they set us at a table for two and after much discussion with the waitress they brought some tables from the outside in and made us a table for four! Had some really good food except for Dave‘s steak was a little tough and fatty after he tried to eat it at the end of the meal he very politely told the waitress that it was under cooked and tough and she told the chef/owner about it and he refused to do anything about the issue when dave asked to speak to the owner/chef he came out and was very argumentative and said that Dave had eaten the majority of the steak and refused to do a refund, then his wife came out and had a verbal argument with David and Maria over the steak to the point where Dave had to tell her to stop speaking and leave us alone , then both of them went back and belittled us to other customers saying that dave was trying to beat them out of a steak! Our waitress was wonderful and three out of four meals were good but the way that they treated Dave and Maria was highly uncalled for and very embarrassing and we will never go to that restaurant again and would appreciate any of our friends and family not support a restaurant that treats its customers with such disrespect! & then I reviewed some feedback from other customers and management seems to be overly aggressive when any less than satisfactory review is left. Nice cozy place with very attentive staff. However, I was extremely disappointed that they only serve beer and wine despite being advertised as a bourbon lounge....it's even depicted on the front of their menu. Wine choices were good except we learned that one of our favorites, which is also listed on their menu, is no longer served. There was a variety of menu choices to satisfy most anyone. However, the food quality was hit or miss. My wife's filet was tender but bland and my ribeye was tasteless but cooked to order. Our friends seemed satisfied with their steaks and ribs. Side items were fine. The overall atmosphere was nice but thankfully I don't mind the hint of cigar aroma coming from the store next door. Probably nothing they can do about that. The owner/chef was extremely friendly and you could tell he took pride in his establishment. I probably would have had a better experience if the menu had been updated to advertise only beer and wine and if the steaks were more flavorful. With all of the other recent positive reviews, maybe we were there on an off night.
