See All ReviewsWe have gone to Clutch many times over the years and sadly have seen the quality decreased each summer. I understand how hard it is to operate in a tourist town. However, we noticed this summer that the prices seemed to go up while the quality of food went down. The chicken on the Greek salad was literally cubed deli meat. They changed up the menu, which was not for the better (in our opinion). Their famous “knuckle sandwich” can still be ordered, even though it’s not on the menu… however we were disappointed by its lack of flavor. I hope next summer they can focus again on homemade foods and quality ingredients. I’m happy to pay tourist prices, and support local businesses when the food is delicious.
Food was incredibly mid and seemed like a bunch of bland Gordon food service items smashed together. We added chicken to our salad which ended up being a sparce amount of gross, pale cubes. Romance lettuce was clean and crunchy tho. Good place if you just need something I guess. Also, a very odd set up as the windows are completely covered with contact paper so you can't see if theyre open.
So far we've had pizza, salad, cheese bread sticks, and tried a couple sandwiches. Every time our food was perfect regardless of how busy they are. They make an excellent pizza at Clutch. The dough is made carefully and aged long enough to develop good flavor. They clearly use higher quality cheese and toppings. It's always cooked perfectly. It's the best pizza in the Mason county area. Can't recommend enough!
