Everything that I used to like about this place has changed. They don't sell steaks anymore and the food is bland. The garlic house dressing doesn't taste like garlic anymore. Just no love in the food it seems.

Colichias Italian Village is an ICON of dining excellence in Jefferson County in the City of Groves, Tx. It has been a dining favorite of ours since we were dating in the early 70's. Matriarch Momma Colichia was loved by all not only for her fabulous Italian cooking but for her love of those who dined at the original location in Port Arthur. After her passing, grandson Scott carried the torch for keeping the restaurant going for those of us who could never get enough of the recipes that Momma passed down to Scott. AUTHENTIC Italian food of all kinds (like my fav veal parmigiana) delight the pallets of the garlic and Italian seasonings lovers. The quaint atmosphere in small town America and indescribable delectable Italian dishes have had old (like us) and many new comers visiting Colichias time after time. We will ALWAYS be coming back.
