2 months agoHad quite good experience at this Vietnamese restaurant! The atmosphere is not really stylish, you can tell it is pretty old building. The food was definitely the highlight. The broken rice (com tam) were delicious, full of flavor, and served in generous portions. If you ever try the broken in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam, you definitely remember the taste. Service was friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place to give it a try.

5 months agoGreat food, amazing flavor, plenty of meat for $11. It can get crowded and incur long wait during lunch on the weekends.

6 months agoEveryone is entitled to their own opinions so here is mine. When you first walk in, there is no place for you to know if you are supposed to wait to be seated or to seat yourself. The smell of cigarettes or some type of fume hits your nose instantly and it just lingers with you throughout the whole meal. The menu is short and simple. But to say that this place is the best for com tam seems to be a reach for me. Food here in my books would be a 2.5 out of 5 at best but like i said everyone is entitled to their own opinions. The pork is tough as a boot, the egg quiche is alittle bland, the broken rice is extremely dry. The springroll is high on the list of one of the worse i have had so far. I understand that it is a different kind but I tasted the same of the different kind and this one just tasted off. The sauce also just seem off also. When I was trying to pay for my check, I had to wait couple of minutes because all of the staff went to the back room on the side of the register to watch TV. Let me know if you agree or disagree!

7 months agoOkay hear me out! It’s sad that I can only give this place 5 stars. Because it deserves 10, if not more!!! The legendary “cơm tấm sườn bì chả” literally tastes as if I was in Vietnam. From the rice to the fish sauce, so deliciously prepared, and authentic. It was a busy Sunday morning, yet everyone delivered the food to the customers as fast as they could (less than 15 minutes from the time we sat down) I highly recommend this place if you are a fan of “cơm tấm Sài Gòn)

a year agoThe pork chop here is so delicious! Seasoned well, good size, and juicy. We find ourselves craving it! There was a period where we were eating here a couple of times a week. Service is also fast.

2 years agoBest cơm tấm in town - their fish sauce and chili paste are authentic - that reminds me a lot of texture and flavor from my hometown where I was born. Thanks for keep it open even there are many negative reviews about the services but this place is a must try if u are truly a broken rice fan. Plus the owner is friendly offer me some ice tea Togo when I finished my meal - highly recommended

Edited a year agoI walked in and immediately noticed that the crowd was mostly Asian - which made me smile, because if Asians are spending their time and money here it must be good. Out of the 40 people dining in, I was only the 2nd white guy in the whole place. I ordered the number 1 and the number 10, Beef Phô with meatballs and Shrimp Spring Rolls w/ peanut sauce. The table was cleaned as I sat down, so I knew it was clean, and even though I can eat with chop sticks, I don't like those plastic ladle like spoons so I asked for a regular spoon. The food was good! I ate most of it without any extra seasonings. But half way through I did add some fish sauce (which looks homemade) and Sriracha for some spice! The spring rolls were fresh and soft (the rice wrappers get hard and tough if they've been sitting out for too long) and the peanut sauce was on point! The portion of soup was so big I had to take the rest home. The ambiance is very basic, no frills - but there are a couple of flat screens. The waitress was very nice and my food came out in 10 minutes! Overall I was very pleased with this place and will have to try its name sake dish next time!

Edited a year agoStarter soup is really good, and #4 on the menu is a great tasty meal. They sell coconut pastries to go, and those are delicious
