Came with my mom today and we had the cơm gà xối mỡ and the bánh canh gà and it’s sooo good!! Amazing meat to carb ratio. Definitely going back soon. Our waitress Như was really nice and recommended a variety of different dishes, which we ordered. And I can definitely see why they were recommended.
We love trying new things in our near weekly exploration of Dallas’ Asian food scene, and our visit to Com Ga Houston didn’t disappoint! We tried the Banh Xeo and Bahn cahn, and both were great! Nhu and Ly took great care of us, and guided us to the best menu items. Will be back!
I had dinner with my friend and we both ordered the chicken rice plate, food came out quick and service was attentive by our hostesses Như and Ly. Như took her time to answer our inquiries about the restaurant and the dish which we appreciated. Overall, food was great for a decent price for the portion size with the chicken juicy and flavorful. Rice was delicious as well. One aspect I enjoyed is the chicken pieces were deboned making for an easy eating experience. The sauce and soup which came with the plate was well seasoned and flavorful adding to the richness of the dish.
This was my second time visiting this restaurant, and we had Nhu and Ly as our server. They were incredibly kind and friendly. Although it seemed like English might not be their first language, they went out of their way to explain the menu, recommend the restaurant's best dishes, and make sure we were happy with every meal we ordered. I highly recommend the Vietnamese Pancake, especially if you're not familiar with Vietnamese cuisine. The portion is large enough for two people to share, and most importantly, it's absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed the Hainanese Chicken Rice and the Chicken Noodle Soup. One thing to note is that some dishes include chicken organs/giblets, but there are also versions available without them for those who prefer not to eat organ meats. Overall, great food and excellent service. I'll definitely be back!
Went on a saturday lunch and it was an amazing experience. We ordered a special bánh xèo, bún măng vịt and cháo vịt. All were delicious and portion size was huge. Như and Ly were super sweet, she recommended the bánh xèo and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend this place for family gathering or anyone first time to DFW
Just tried Com Ga Houston under the new management and honestly the food quality is at its best right now. My fav dishes are the chicken rice and chicken salad, the chicken is super tender and very flavorful. Their dipping sauce is also phenomenal! The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. Ms. Nhu always takes care of us whenever we come in. She’s very sweet and makes sure customers feel welcome. Definitely worth coming back!
I hadn't been here in a long time, so I came back today and was pleasantly surprised. The original owner from Houston recently took over and reopened the restaurant. The duck soup and seafood pancake were amazing! I'm happy this place is back and I'll be bringing my friends here again.
Nhu and her associate were very kind. The vegetable, rice noodle and bean sprout spring rolls in rice paper with the peanut sauce were amazing. It was my first time trying Vietnamese food and I was pleasantly surprised. For all the vegetarian and vegan foodies, it will not disappoint. I actually heard myself saying, mm, mm, mm, while eating! The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. Goodbye regular fried spring rolls! I will return for more delicious food.
