My son took me there and said they had great tacos. And he was right! Ot much to look at but the owner is a vet. I am glad to see that our veterans are doing so well.
Drove from San Antonio for my birthday lunch. It was well worth the drive. The line to order was a bit long, but once we ordered, the food was out in what seemed less than 5 minutes. I had the Jefe Enchiladas. They were stuffed with a perfect amount of pulled pork. The rice and beans had the homemade taste. The plate was very well served. Definitely going back!
Greeted w BIG smiles and oh such a cute 🥰 “feels like home “ atmosphere! I had yummy nachos last visit BUT this time I ordered the Raspberry Chipotle Pulled pork tacos this meal included rice and beans too. The pulled pork was so tender and the Smokey but sweet savory flavors of the rasberry chipotle pulled pork - delish - the corn tortillas were so softened and dipped - oh and can’t forget the jalapeño cream sauce that was drizzled on top - really made this over the top delish!! What a great experience overall — perfect for the middle of a work day - get away… literally felt like coming home to moms like i used to in the old days when she was still alive. The pinto beans -even - took me back to mom’s kitchen when she boiled them for hours in her big ole bean pot….and the smell of fresh cooked beans came to mind — Everything on point— service and food - over the top !! This is definitely a place I could sit around w friends and talk for hours. BUT didn’t 😂 because I had to get back to work. Chef Mark and his wife and Compadres team definitely have a great thing going out there in Boerne TX and I’ll make the short drive from SA time and time again NOT only for the great food and service BUT these folks are good people that you just want to see continues success for and want to support because of who they are and all that they do in the community.
