See All ReviewsThis is a favorite local restaurant for my family. Today, I took my son over for a date lunch. We were both disappointed. The server rarely came to the table. Although we weren't ready the first time she came to take our order, she didnt' come back for over 20 minutes. I ordered grilled texas toast and the beef brisket- BBQ is a loved dish. However, despite being served a very small portion of meat for a dinner serving, I couldn't even eat half of it. There was too much fat. Also, the texas toast was dry and I was finished with my the rest of my meal before I was able to get the attention of a different server. When she returned with the apple butter, she took my plate after I said I couldn't eat it any more of the meat. My server removed my knife with the plate and remaining meat. Rather than ask how to make it better, the server took my dish and never returned to the table. Not even to get me a new knife she said she would get me so that I could spread stuff on my toast.
This place is a gem! First time.treated like we have been going forbyears.. so friendly. Family run afnd you can tell..all the food tastes like generation passed down recipes. Chicken and noodles wow..the best. The prices were so good. The pie though.. I needed that. Best custard pie i have had in years.
Absolutely wonderful!! The prices are great for how much food you get, and the staff are so unbelievably friendly. The pie is to die for.
