I am deeply disappointed by the unprofessional and discriminatory behavior exhibited by a staff member at the HOA office, Lady Rosemary. While speaking with another office worker, she told not to speak to my father because, in her words, “he doesn’t speak English.” This is both false and offensive. My father speaks English fluently, though with a slight accent. When he rightfully asked her what she meant, she told him to “shut up.” This kind of disrespect and prejudice is completely unacceptable, especially coming from someone representing a community office. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic dignity and respect, regardless of their accent, background, or ethnicity. I strongly urge the HOA to address this issue and ensure their staff receive proper training in professionalism and cultural sensitivity. In light of the disrespectful and inappropriate comments made by your office manager, Rosemary — including telling my father to “shut up” and falsely claiming he does not speak English — I am formally requesting that she issue a direct, in-person apology to my father. This apology should take place in the HOA office, in front of her colleague Stacy and the residents who were present at the time of the incident, as they witnessed the exchange. Given Rosemary’s position as a manager and representative of your office, we believe a public apology is both appropriate and necessary to begin restoring trust and ensuring that such behavior is not repeated toward anyone in our community. We hope the HOA will take this matter seriously and respond promptly.
