My go to lunch place for Combo “La Cinco”! I usually order takeout for lunch but if I’m going for dinner, I like to sit in the patio. Their combos and lunch plates are good portion sizes and a bit smaller than the regular dinner size plates. Margaritas are great on the patio during the warmer months!
The service was fine and the food was okay. Nothing special. Could certainly use more flavor. The worst issue that needs to be immediately cleaned is the dust balls around the booths and overhang. While trying to eat, it’s unappealing. We would have sat outside but wanted to avoid the heat and mosquitoes.
We were excited to try Coyote's Mexican Grill after reading so many positive reviews. A heads-up for anyone visiting, the location is a little tucked away and parking is limited, so plan accordingly. The service was a high point – we were seated almost immediately. I ordered the fajitas and my wife got a burrito. The flavors in both dishes were good, but we felt the food wasn't particularly special or unique. We also found the margarita to be disappointing; it was weak and tasted more like a pre-made mix. While nothing was terrible, the overall experience didn't quite match our expectations. It's a decent spot, but we were hoping for a bit more.
We tried different dishes this time. The chicken chilaquiles and 4 enchiladas were delicious. So were the chips and salsa. Best of all there was a breeze out on the patio, and the peach frozen margarita was the best, creamy and tasty. Service team worked together and got it done.
Very mediocre. Definitely not worth the price. Food not hot but put under a broiler. Player shouldn’t be burning hot but food barely hot. Food was brought out sloppy. Cheese was burned on tortilla chips but still served. We went because we always see it packed. They must have good drinks because the food…. No.
My family and I were in the area and wanted to visit a local restaurant. I'm so glad we decided on this hidden gem! It was about 9 pm when we arrived so it was dark outside. We saw there was outdoor seating but decided to go in. The atmosphere was family friendly. I ordered the Apollo Espinica. It's chicken topped with spinach, cheese, and comws with rice and beans. It was scrumptious. I did not get the beans. Other orders at my table included chicken tender, steak burrito ( daughter said it was the best even the the burrito wrap was seasoned) , bowl of cheese dip (small, but BEST we all at the table ever had). The server, an older Mexican guy was not so friendly initially. I think it was due to language barrier. However, the other people at the restaurant were AMAZING. My daughter had a list of restaurants to visit for her birthday. She has edited her list to include this one! This place is about 2 hours from my house and YES I WOULD MOST definitely visit again!
Food was ok. Not a lot of flavor or toppings on the steak tacos but the sauce on the side was good. Maybe I was supposed to request cheese and other extras. Or maybe that stuff isn’t considered authentic. Either way, i Really liked the margarita and the rice was ok. Service was ok, definitely a noticeable language barrier. Parking was awful this particular day. I circled around for about 20 mins before finding a spot. Even their overflow lot was slammed.
Low key spot in Decatur with great chips and salsa. In general, I think their food and drinks are just ok. I've had much better margaritas. The house seemed watered down. I did really enjoy the grouper enchiladas. They were delicious!!
