See All ReviewsWent to county seat for crawfish on Fat Tuesday and waited over an hr plus on my crawfish that were absolutely tiny, so small I had to throw a lot of them away, Gator plate was 16$ for like 5 pieces of gater bites, owner was rude obviously because of being very unorganized and everyone waiting, not a good experience spent 60$ and left there and stopped at Taco Bell on my way home.
EDIT: Due to the Owner’s response that he then wanted to delete. People at this event were very unhappy and anytime anyone approached the owner to find out if food was ever gonna come out he had a horrible attitude and wanted to bite people‘s head off like they did something wrong for wanting to spend money with his business and by the response it seems that he wants confrontation with customers probably not the best way to grow a business in a small community. He was also very upset with everybody for not pre-ordering before they got there something that he wanted to post on his social media not the bar social media the day before like patrons of the bar are going to follow his social media . The audacity is insane, but judging by the quality of the food and quality of the service this food truck won’t be around for long. I really hate to leave a bad review, but my experience at the food truck parked outside the bar in Decatur was just terrible. Crawldaddy Cajun Kitchen was completely unprepared for a crowd of about 30 people. Long waits, chaotic orders, and when the food finally came out, it somehow managed to be worse than the wait. The crawfish weren’t purged right, weren’t cooked right, and had that muddy, off taste no one wants. The potatoes were some of the worst-cooked I’ve ever had—underdone, flavorless, and definitely not what you expect from a Cajun boil. And the gator? My gator meat was so overcooked it literally turned to dust. Dry, tough, and downright unpleasant. Easily the worst preparation of gator I’ve ever seen. I wanted to support a local food truck, but this was honestly a disaster from start to finish. Until they seriously fix their prep, cooking, and crowd management, I can’t recommend them to anyone.
the place is a lunch trailer w a few outside tables next to a main street. When i went he was out or didn’t have what i wanted. Actually im not sure what he did have that day. i went across the street to Brandies. Great service, clean, good food. That’s where i would go again.
