I did NOT feel like eating next to a nasty dumpster outside at China Hut so I tried this place and I'm glad I did! They were friendly to everyone in the line before me and treated me no differently. And my food!!! Bruh!!! That FISH PLATTER IS EVERYTHING! Fresh, hot, and enough rice to last you TWO MEALS. A lady came in and the server asked how her baby was doing which I thought was refreshing! They actually connect with their customers instead of taking your money, handing you a plate, and that's it. I've been there 3 times this week and you can appreciate that you're dining in real restaurant, AC, music, etc. Just a better experience than China Hut period. I KNOW where to get good Haitian food now.
Got my food rather quickly even though there was a line. Generous portion of rice and a clean spot. Dinned in and had a easy-no problems visit. Will come back for their legume since the griot was so good
Will stick to China Hut Haitian Restaurant. Service was great. But, rice was cold and very dry. Very small gravy, so that didn't help. Pickley's are good. Griot was full of FAT! Literally, I had only four pieces that were not fat chunks. So, disappointing. I rate based on product, not service because I don't go for the service.. I go for what I want/need. Will NOT ever be back. China Hut line was long so I went there because they had 4.3 stars... BAD IDEA! Should've known when the place was empty and not one soul stepped in. China Hut keep a line. I know now!
