This place is a mix of good and bad. The food is good for the most part. The people are very nice. The wine and beer are good too. Service is ok, but a bit sloppy, although everyone is very friendly. - We were told we had been texted about our seats but never got the text even though we checked and the number they wrote down was correct. Never. got. the text. - We ate there for lunch several times over a couple of years and three times this week, and were never told or made aware via menu or signage that we were at a tapas restaurant that serves "small dishes for sharing". When I complained that I was pretty hungry after my one small crab cake that was served with no accompaniment, I was told, "you've been here before, you surely knew this was a tapas restaurant!" Well, no. I did not. Our lunches this week were good. We had antipasto and gaspacho. The latter was fresh but somewhat bland. On our recent visit, which was our first dinner: - my daughter got a Caesar salad and it came with only 2 croutons. One on each corner of the square plate opposite each other. Very artfully arranged, so there was no question how many you were supposed to get. Otherwise it was a fine Caesar with just the right amount of dressing. Sadly, no pepper was offered. The salad was $10. I expect at least 3 croutons on a $10 Caesar. - the menu shows fish tacos, standard sushi rolls, hamburgers and crab cakes. These were not described as small dishes that do not satisfy your hunger. - The sushi menu had changed recently and was literally impossible to read. No really. I could not tell if it was Arabic or English. The waitress agreed and apologized but did not offer any assistance with the menu. - the waitress said the crab cake was great and used her hands to show how big the cake would be. She neglected to say that it was less than half the thickness of any other crab cake I've ever had. She implied that it was a hearty dish. It was a slightly over-cooked (yet tasty) crab pancake almost 5" wide and 1/2" thick. There were a couple of char chunks from previous cooking of food attached. There was a dollop of sweet and spicy jam on the plate but nothing else came with my "dinner". It was $17. I'm a small guy but I felt like I'd eaten half of someone else's appetizer. - no dish was provided for the soy sauce for sushi. - no coasters or tablecloth for cold drinks served outdoors in summer. Lots of dripping all over our clothes and food. By contrast, we ate at the Grayton bar & grill For nearly the same amount of money and had much more exciting and flavorful food. We had plenty to eat since the dishes came with several accompaniments on the plates. Crush: basically a menu of average-tasting appetizers and decent sushi you would find at an average-to-high-priced fine dining restaurant. The problem is that they don't make that clear - and you are definitely not in a fine dining restaurant. You're just paying as if you were.
We dined here last night the waitress was very friendly, I had the crab avocado salad and husband had grouper his dish was ok not much fish:( I enjoyed mine until we got home I was sick the entire night! I can't hold any food down I can honestly say it was this meal it was all I had for the evening and was perfectly fine before I had the meal. It was a shame as has ruined our last day of vacation. I called to let them know and the mgr said she would look into it and apologized.
Great root beer float for kids. Expensive for a few beers and glass of wine.
