One of the worst Indian Resturants I have been to in Boston. Good things first, the ambiance was nice n pretty. There was live singer performing, she was good as well. The tandoori wings with the green chutney were incredible. Worst service I have ever received, we had to ask multiple times for water, the cheque. And it wasn't even busy, there were barely 3 tables occupied but the servers were just not paying attention to any tables. We ordered lamb shank masala, hyderabadi murgh dum biryani and malai kofta. Everything was extremely underwhelming. The biryani was literally pulao with no biryani masala. And we asked it to be made spicy but it wasn't. And why did they call it hyderabadi biryani when it didn't even come close to how it should be. Never going back here again. I don't get why it is rated so high?! And it is extremely expensive for the entire experience.
Honestly it’s hard to find authentic Indian restaurants outside of India. Crystal spoons does a very good job of brining the home flavors on the plate. It’s definitely on higher end but totally worth it. The menu is well curated. We ordered lamb shank curry, chicken tikka masala and goan shrimp curry. All were really tasty but goan shrimp curry was a stand out. Chef did a great job. We will definitely visit again!
I’ll give this 5 stars. Because the atmosphere is amazing. And the food is even more incredible. (I’ll get to that in a moment). However it did take them a while to get to us to order drinks. And it was a pretty empty restaurant.. besides that. The waiter had great knowledge on what had dairy in what dish (I have an allergy) and was able to give me recommendations. I tried the chicken lollipop and samosas to try. All I’ve ever had were samosas before. And these were crunchy and flavorful. Loved the chicken lollipops (don’t be scared it’s not that spicy). Amazing fried chicken. Good flavor and juicy. Then I had the best dish I’ve ever had in Boston (I wanted to make noises at the table - not sorry). The chicken chettinad was by far the best dish I’ve ever had. It was SO delicious. Birthday worthy restaurant. Girls night out. Date night. Whatever it is. This is a must try place!
Had a wonderful dining experience at Crystal Spoon Restaurant. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Tikka Malai, Chicken Seekh Kebab, Daal Tarka, and Butter Naan, every dish was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the naan was soft and buttery. What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff were very professional, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, a fantastic restaurant with great food and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back again.
Nice spot for romantic dinner with great indian cuisine. I normally don't like indian seafood dishes but their salmon was excellent. The lamb shank masala is a must try. Usually no wait for a table amd fast service.
This place was great! The food was really good. As a South Asian, going to a South Asian restaurant can give pause with food because you know how things are supposed to taste like and let me tell you, this was beyond all expectations! All the meat was Halal according to our server. We got a few different things for apps like the Papdi chat, chicken lollipops, and assorted tikka platter and everything was fresh and well seasoned. The malai tikka was my favorite on the platter! For entrees we got butter chicken (very tasty and perfectly spicy), paneer pasanda, and the chicken biryani. My husband loves biryani (his mom makes the best!) and he was very much enjoying it! Said it was one of the best he's had outside of home cooked. Naan were so fresh, I was full and still ate an extra naan 😂 The only qualm about food is the price. It's def more on the expensive side but the portions are big enough that 1-2 entrees can feed 4 people very easily. Now the atmosphere is very nice, beautiful decor, friendly people, and our wait staff was so kind and quick in checking in. Shout out Roger! We had 20 people for a party and he made sure everything was to our liking and checked in and was laughing with us and it felt so cozy like family! It's a newer restaurant too so it's very clean and has space for a lot of people. I wish I took more photos but very delicious and I recommend if you're looking for something that hits that Indian/Desi food craving!
Highly recommend. Absolutely a place, I will come again and again. The food was fabulous. The service was great. Everything is fresh and nothing is rushed, so be prepared for a wait. The wait never felt too long because we enjoyed the wonderful singing from Miranda Rae. The place is aesthetically pleasing and very clean. They really want to ensure you are enjoying yourself and the food, so I would say there customer service was top tier. I cannot wait to come back. The naan was made to perfection, fluffy and lil flaky. My lamp chops were delicious and my wife's food, she said it was amazing. Highly recommend.
The food here is very very good. The spice level should be considered when ordering. Mild spice is still spicy and flavorful. Be prepared. The lamb and rice were very good. The waiter was kind and the owner was very friendly. The only issue is the wait. They need more waiters so people are not waiting as long. I will definitely return!!!
