See All ReviewsMy step dad and I used to stop here all the time even late at night about 25 years ago when he used to drive tractor trailer. Back then I believe was called Scott 60's. Has a small area like a gas station and then a diner... Always good food and great service. The ladies who were waitresses knew my stepdad back then, every time we stopped they would say, Oh Hi Larry, having the usual? Coffee, two eggs over easy, bacon and Italian toast. I'd always have the same. Cost us less than 20$ back then. Need to drive out that way again so I can stop and enjoy some good home cooked meals.
This is a great breakfast / brunch place. Food is good, coffee is hot, people are friendly, service is so so due to limited staffing. This is a placed that truckers along 81 enjoy stopping. No frills, no fancy, but is very reasonable priced!
We have named this diner the EAT Diner!! You will notice my 5 star rating for atmosphere - this is NOT a fancy place, the 5 star rating is for the old, dingy, dive of my childhood when all diners had this truck stop feel. It is yet to be replicated anywhere else!! I have been coming to this hidden gem for over 30 years - I used to attend a rabbit show (yes, like a dog show, but with purebred rabbits) in Harford, and this was the whole reason for leaving the house more than an hour early while packing animals and kids. I haven't been here in about 10 years, and it is exactly as I remember! Warm and nostalgic, delicious food, excellent service, and an EZ-Off/EZ-On location that makes it simple to stop, eat, and go on to your next destination! Today my husband had French Toast and orange juice, and I got my favorite sausage gravy and biscuits, with a side of sausage patty and coffee! My husband didn't enjoy his OJ, and there was zero issues taking it off the bill, even though he had tried to drink half of the small glass. I liked it, he likes a sweeter OJ. While seated at the counter, I can see the specials, and I am almost sad that I am not here for lunch or dinner - great mouth watering specials with prices that won't break the bank!
