3 months agoChips and salsa are great! Quesabirria tacos outstanding! The meat is super tender. Next time I will order with no onions as I feel like it was way too many onions. Just my opinion though. The consume was very flavorful and the rice and beans were delicious. Definitely recommend trying this place. I did take out and everything was hot and fresh.

4 months agoGREAT PLACE! More than just your average plain Mexican cuisine. Every dish I've tried is a little bit different than what you would expect and always has something in it to add a little twist and a little extra flavor. On top of the food being phenomenal, the service is over the top! When I walk in, by the time I sit down there's usually a drink and chips and salsa already waiting for me. The servers are awesome and the manager is on point and super nice! She pays attention to her establishment and makes adjustments accordingly to ensure her customers have the best dining experience possible! She's a VERY hard worker and knows her stuff! By far one of my favorite places to just stop in and have a beer or to take a date to a classy place!

6 months agoMy daughter and I came here to check out this new place, and we love Mexican food. The service was good, the ambiance was good, drinks were on point and the good was delicious. The prices were average, we'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this new Mexican restaurant in the area.

a year agoDon Jose’s Cantina is an absolute gem in New Lenox! From the moment you walk in, the modern, cozy, and impeccably clean decor sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The attention to detail in the design creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for any occasion. The food is nothing short of spectacular. The burrito bowl was a flavor-packed delight, and the enchiladas were bursting with authentic, savory goodness. The salmon dish exceeded all expectations—perfectly cooked and seasoned. To top it all off, the strawberry margaritas were among the best I’ve ever had—refreshing, vibrant, and downright delicious. This spot has clearly mastered the art of great food, excellent drinks, and a welcoming vibe. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their fantastic menu. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a top-notch dining

a year agoWe went for lunch today. As others have noted, this food has extra flair! The service was outstanding as was the food! We had the guacamole, queso blanca, and elote fritters for appetizers. Especially LOVED the queso blanca and the fritters. Omg so delicious!! Then, my hubby had the beef shoulder entree. I had the cheese Tex Mex enchiladas. Outstanding!!! Definitely coming back!

a year agoDelicious. Not your average Mexican food; dishes have a twist and flair! Complimentary chips and salsa when you're seated. The restaurant itself is clean with nice decor. Staff was very friendly. Eva, our server, was fabulous. I recommend the pork belly tacos ! Spent $60 for two entrees and two drinks.

a year agoNew restaurant in town we had to try. The service was excellent, very attentive! The atmosphere is nice, family friendly, low music so you can hear conversations. The food is unique and flavorful. I had the Tex Mex enchiladas and they were different than any I have had before. Not too spicy but very delicious. The guacamole was very good too, and we got chips and salsa no charge. My husband had the quesadillas and thought they were very delicious.

a year agoStopped in today (opening day) and was beyond impressed with food, interior, management, etc. Cute photo op area, and the mural behind the bar is stunning. Food came out hot and fresh, including the house fried chips. Salsa(s) were delicious, and the menu was carefully curated so all the flavors work together for the perfect bite. We’ll definitely be back!
