The restaurant itself is very small with limited seating, so it’s really more of a takeout spot than a place for a big sit-down dinner. That said, the food travels well and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend!""Incredible food that packs a punch. However, the portions are huge and the owner treated us like family. I'll just make sure to get there earlier next time!""Absolute hidden gem! The service runs on 'island time,' so don't expect a quick 30-minute lunch.
Local Jamaican spot. Have visited many times and always left satisfied! Warm customer service and well seasoned food.
I came here and order a jerk chicken plate, oxtails plate, and fried red snapper plate, side of plantains, two beef patties with two coco breads. I will say the only thing that was good and had favor was the beef patties and coco breads. The oxtails had no season no favor to save anyone. The jerk chicken was dryer then Houston dirt in the month of July! Now let’s talk about the red snapper. First it wasn’t fried or will pan cooked 🙄🙄. When I tell you this fish smelled like deathhhhhdddd. This is a real review that might be removed but I paid my money for trash. I spend over $85+ so I going to leave this review to save others from this place.
If you want real Jamaican food in Houstan Texas this is the place to go. Try there soup, try them patties reminds you of tastee’s at Jamaica, them chicken taste better than Popeyes, and KFC chicken. Hurry and come try real Jamaican food.
Delicious food, but disappointing service. The food itself was delicious, no complaints from the jerk chicken meal that I ordered! However, the restaurant doesn’t honor the prices listed on their menu. There was a 3.5% increase on my tab (the 8.5% tax is separate) and When I pointed it out, the lady checking me out just said, “Well, it’s different in the system.” Even though it’s not a big amount, good customer service and price transparency go a long way.
If you’re a frequent visitor to Jamaica but can’t make it to the island just yet, Daisy’s brings that same soulful comfort and authentic flavor right to you. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. This small, locally owned business consistently delivers exceptional quality and warmth in every dish. I was especially grateful to have Daisy’s cater for Caribbean Heritage Month during a Fenty Beauty event in Houston — the food was a hit! My team always looks forward to Daisy’s whenever they’re in town. A true taste of Jamaica, made with heart.
⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointed with the Oxtail and Curry Goat I had high hopes for this place based on the hype, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations. I ordered the oxtail and curry goat—two staples of Jamaican cuisine—and both were a letdown. The oxtail was dry and lacked the rich, fall-off-the-bone tenderness it should have. The gravy was thin, bland, and missing that deep, slow-cooked flavor you’d expect. Honestly, it tasted rushed and under-seasoned. The curry goat wasn’t much better. The meat was tough and chewy, and the curry itself had very little spice or complexity. It felt like it had been sitting for too long or maybe reheated. For the price, I expected much better quality from a restaurant that claimed they are authentic Jamaican food. Service was indifferent, and the food took a while to arrive even though we were the only two in the resturant on a Friday afternoon. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. If you’re craving authentic Jamaican flavors, I’d suggest looking elsewhere this is not the place the manager is rude and lacks customer service skills .When I told her I was returning the food because it gave me diarrhea she told that they don't give refund regardless of the situation. I give this hole in the wall restaurant one year to be out of business.
I should’ve taken that sign as a literal sign and left. Let’s start with the price difference… the flyer/ menu they have at the restaurant on the counter has the dishes serve and the prices, cool. But what I was charged does not match that. Yes, I know it’s a few cents here and there but it’s principle. Idk how many people they’ve done this too to make a little extra. Now to the food 🙃 The beef patty was not fresh, it tasted store bought/ reheated. The jerk chicken was no where near jerked, the only thing I was able to taste was salt (lots of it) and scotch bonnet. The festival took 20 minutes to make as they said it’s made to order which is understandable but 20 minutes to kneed some dough and fry is not a 20 minute ordeal. As a restaurant you should at least have the dough resting and ready to use per order. It is also full of vanilla extract, smells very perfumey (I know that’s not a word but you get what I’m trying to say). Not to mention it’s $6 for 3! I basically wasted a half an hour waiting on below mediocre food and spent almost $30 on foolishness.
