Grilled Talapia platter and whiting platter was hot and delicious. The portions are great too. I try to hit this spot at least twice a year.
I used to go to Dave's Seafood YEARS ago when it was in Manassas and when I found out that they were in Chantilly I still drive out there just for the fried catfish. I love that it's fried hard (I hate limp fried fish) and the cornmeal gives the batter a good crunch that's not too much. The hushpuppies are also very good. They're the kind that have corn inside, not just batter. I also enjoy the cheesesteaks (I get mine with jumbo sauce), fried shrimp, and grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. I find that they have a good bottled drink selection as well. I always find either an old favorite, or a flavor that I've never tried before.
I ordered the Trout platter at Dave’s Seafood and was extremely disappointed. The fish was unbelievably bland, and to make matters worse, even the hot sauce had no flavor. I’ve never had a meal so lacking in taste. If you’re looking for good food, this is definitely not the place. I do not recommend it.
