2 months agoI decided to try Deddahs Kitchen after seeing it on TikTok, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and doesn’t compare to Afrique D Lounge at all. I called ahead to place a to-go order, and when I arrived, I was told the order was never put in because I didn’t pay in advance something that was never mentioned during the call. While that was frustrating, what stood out more was the lack of customer service. The person on the phone was rude, didn’t greet me, and didn’t make any effort to be helpful. When I got there, the restaurant itself felt cold and not very clean. I also noticed the person handling food in the front wasn’t wearing gloves, which was concerning. On top of that, I was quoted $30 over the phone, but ended up being charged $38.62 in person with no clear explanation for the difference. As for the food, it was overly oily and didn’t live up to expectations at all. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it. Do yourself a favor and go right down the street to Afrique instead.

3 months agoOn DoorDash they advertise cassava leaf w fufu in their combo!!! You see it right here in the screenshot. WITH FUFU!!!!! i called them back and she has the nerve to tell me its 6$ more. Mind you the bowl of cassava leaf is already small. She is so disrespectful and ignorant when I called to ask for my fufu, even offering to pick it up and she still was trying to charge me. I knew she was stingy but very terrible customer service. Theres a reason why the ratings are low. Money hungry and full of greed then you guys wonder why people dont support us. Look at how you treat your customers !

5 months agoRice bread is trash and hard no taste not sweet. The owner always has a attitude like not one day she don't. To be honest me as a liberian I will have to advise u that if u want to eat here that u are not eating authenticate liberian food .

5 months agoThe food wasnt bad. It taste good. It was a little bit too salty. The goat meat was tough. You should pressure cook the meat for a little bit or cook the goat meat longer. There was no cowskin in the meat like you promised. The little fried round puff treats were good but at the same time i was met with alot of oil in my mouth. They are soaked with oil. You need to find some way to let the oil drain off of those fried sweet treats and not just let them sit in a pan with the oil draining on top of each other. For the amount of money I was charged I am very dissappointed. Also, i think goat meat with the skin on it would be so much better for these dishes. I asked for goat meat in my pepper soup and there was none in there. You are not treating your customers fair. Lastly, the price is too high and the size i ordered yesterday was definitely not an X-Tra Large. That is more like a Medium.

7 months agoHonestly speaking, they need to be serious about cooking not just collecting money. We're African so we know good African food. As a Vai person I bought a cassava leaf with water setting under it. I have to put it in the trash couldn't eat it.

8 months agoAlways have attitudes very rude but soon as I find where to get African Spinach I won't go again plus they have different charges bcuz they try to give you 60 percent meat unknown meat that is not recognizable so no meat cost more 50cent to a dollar make that make sense then they replace the meat with oil. Does anyone know where Miss Ella is i so miss her

2 years agoI ordered delivery and was so excited that they serve one of my favorite dishes. Attike with fried fish. They did not disappoint! Food was seasoned well and the pepper sauce was perfect. I will be ordering from here again! Thank you for the good experience.

4 years agoNothing wrong taste-wise. my only issue is when you purchase either a soup or sauce, the meat variety is lacking, at times it seems like its just turkey neck, and very tiny pieces of chicken and no beef
