⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Pleasant Road‑Trip Stop My husband, granddaughter, and I stopped at Depot Diner on our way from Marion, Illinois to Louisville, Kentucky, and it turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. My husband ordered the pancakes, and they were *huge*—soft, flavorful, and cooked just right. My granddaughter enjoyed her French toast, which came as three thick slices along with a couple of sausage patties. She loved her meal. I tried the fried catfish. It wasn’t quite to my taste, but to be fair, I’m hard to satisfy when it comes to catfish—my husband cooks some of the best you’ll ever eat, so my standards are high. Next time, I’ll probably try one of their burgers or something similar. Overall, Depot Diner is a solid, friendly place to stop—especially on a stretch of road where good options are few and far between. Hands down, it was a good experience for all of us.
We found this cute little Diner on the way to holiday world. It seemed to be full of locals and had lots of breakfast options and great prices. The French toast was large Texas toast sized pieces and the food was great. The server was nice and kept our coffees full. I do wish they had shredded hashbrowns verses patties but besides that everything was fabulous. It was a nice little hidden gem to find, and right off the interstate.
