Went here for breakfast and everything was great. Then order some burgers Togo for dinner and they were great. The burger buns were freshly baked and delicious
This nice little place has the BEST pizza. Wow! My husband also loves their hot hamburber meal, with mashed potatoes and gravy. I've tried their chicken sandwich and chicken fingers. The last two I found I liked better heated up at home. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
This is definitely my go to spot when I'm in this area. Everything was cooked to perfection. Flavorful. Great coffee. Polite and made sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to try their pizza.
We have passed this small, family diner many, many times on the way to and from our 'up north spot.' We finally stopped today for Sunday breakfast. Our first impressions of the inside was quaint and clean -- the quintessential small northern community diner. It comfortably seats about 22, all at tables. A portion of the kitchen could be seen through the passage doorway. It, too, looked clean and orderly. They had a simple, all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet available, but we went for the standard menu fare of eggs, meat and toast. Everything was great, including their prices! Both of us ate for under $20.00. This meal would be at least $14 each at many places. Even the offered buffet was less than that. We were the only out-of-towners during our visit as the friendly wait staff called everyone else by name. My wife used the ladies restroom. She approved. It was clean, had two stalls, and had an 'up north' feel. Special feature: Their coffee cups are about twice the size of typical cups! We would love to return and try their lunch/dinner menu. My recommendation: Don't drive by.
This place has wonderful food we really enjoyed their breakfast. We had the carnivore omelette and some of the other breakfast originals. Everything was cooked as instructed and tasted great. The service was okay. We came in as a party of four and there were only tables of two left. So before we were seated the waitress asked what we wanted to drink instead of helping us move tables together. She didn’t help us move the tables but just kept telling us where we couldn’t put them after we had already moved them. Overall, we did enjoy the food and will likely be back.
I was driving through for work and getting hungry. Saw this little place on the side of the road and decided to give it it a try. I ended up getting the mushroom swiss burger and loved it. The staff were friendly and the prices were great compared to other sit down restaurants and even fast food. I wouldn't hesitate going back if I am ever in the area again.
Always friendly and fast service! Good breakfast, lunch. Good pizza, too. Thankful it's open in an area that doesn't have many options.
I didn't think it felt very "homey" and the food was uninspired. I would give it 2 stars except that the solo waitress hustled to keep up. I should have driven to Alpena. Meatloaf: bland Onion rings: homemade? Just like mom heated up Green beans: good
